The user's manual included with this software is for the NNTP version of the product. The CD version is nearly identical, with the following differences:
1) The Preferences dialog has been modified since the news articles are stored on disk rather than on a remote NNTP server. References to remote services (the news server address, the mail server address, and the user authentication login and password) have been replaced by a news folder/volume selection. By default, the news folder/volume is set to "NETNEWS_VOL_ID". If you need to change this selection, click on the "Set" button; this will bring up a standard HFS file/folder selection dialog. Pick the appropriate volume/folder and click on "Select".
2) The "Mail Followup", "Post New", and "Post Followup" menu options have been removed from the menu bar.
